Seeing cherry blossoms in spring always gives us an indescribably positive feeling of joy, freshness and there is like a flower blooming in our souls. Perhaps because it also signals the end of a cold and cloudy winter, to welcome months of sunshine and travel. This is also the most perfect season that couples often choose to hold their wedding.
Cherry blossoms are not rare in European countries, however, to find the perfect combo of cherry blossoms that fill the whole city + beautiful scenery + romantic atmosphere (plus delicious food and great wine, you know what I mean). Then, Paris at this time is truly pure magical.

With our experience in organizing and shooting for hundreds of newlyweds, we understand that you will feel quite confused in choosing the right location with so many different places and millions of cherry blossom check-in photos on Instagram.
On this blog, we will guide you to the most suitable locations for your pre-wedding photoshoot, or even your elopement wedding under the canopy of a pink forest.
When to expect cherry blossom in Paris to bloom?
The best time of the year to catch cherry blossoms in Paris is around mid March to late April, when the temperature is around 15-20 degrees C. Warm enough so brides don’t have to struggle too hard with the weather in their beautiful dresses, cold enough to keep the atmosphere romantic and couples hold them tight.
The Iconic Falguière Metro Station
A place that we must confess was a little surprise for us to discover it. Because we didn’t expect it to be this beautiful. You will see it even before exiting the metro exit, looking up from the steps it is a cherry blossom sky. At this Metro station, there are up to 4 trees with the canopy bunched together. Each bunch of flowers is in full blooming, fluffy in early April. Combined with the architecture of the Metro station it is very nostalgic and Parisien, making it a sweet spot, perfect for a couple or pre-wedding photoshoot.

Square Gabriel Pierné
A less crowded but equally stunning campus, Square Gabriel Pierné. Just steps from the old ” love lock ” bridge Pont des Arts, this park is hidden behind its nearest neighbor, the prestigious Institut de France. In addition to the blossom display which tends to arrive in the second week of April, you have the bonus of getting the Institute’s stunning dome, and one of France’s most remarkable trees in your blossom pictures!
Take a look at the moment our couple JxA in their elopement wedding captured by us in this square has become one of the most epic cherry blossom elopement photos. We can’t wait to create more fluttering moments like this for you guys!

Shakespeare and Co. bookstore
Just across the River Seine from Notre Dame on the left bank is one of Paris’ most famous English-language bookshops. This cute little bookstore has its very own cherry tree, which blooms a glorious pink outside its door in the middle of April. If you plan to take pictures here, the light in the early morning when the sun’s rays hit the flowers will make everything more glowing and poetic. Our top tip is to get up early so you can avoid the tourists and watch Paris relax in the gentle spring breeze, be caressed by pink cherry blossom petals blowing in the wind.
And then go take a hot café and a croissant. Can you imagine that? What an experience.

Trocadero
At the top of the list, we have the most iconic venue in Paris, Trocadero with its splendid view of the Eiffel tower. The pink and white cherry trees all bloom at different times, starting in the last two weeks of March and continuing until the middle of April. These are the longest-lasting in the city. For couples who do the elopement ceremony and exchange their vows here, you can’t go wrong with this place. Madame Eiffel is always there, lurking in the background, silently witnessing and blessing the lover birds.

Jardin des Plantes
The most famous cherry blossom garden in the heart of Paris, the Jardin des Plantes. In this garden, in addition to rows of pink and white cherry blossom trees, there is a gigantic tree whose branches reach almost to the ground and surround you like a little house of pink petals. Indeed, who needs any more decoration when you already have a romantic space filled with fresh flowers for your elopement ceremony.
Parc des Sceaux
Not a location in the heart of the city, but perhaps because of that, this park has an entire cherry tree forest that you have never seen. If you think cherry blossoms just have one pink color, then visiting the white cherry blossom garden on the opposite side of the park is a must too. They are like snow trees and beautiful as the pink one as well – Not to overlook.
Walking into the cherry orchard is like walking into pink fluffy heaven- the holy grail for the cherry blossom hunter. Besides, it has both a castle and a museum, what could be better for an elopement wedding? Get there in the early morning, and enjoy birds singing, clouds passing before your eyes, leaves dancing in the wind, warm sunbeams, and a romantic intimate wedding…That’s your very own haven of peace.
Notable mention: Jardin de Palais Royal
This time we take you to a slightly different place, this is not a place where cherry blossoms are. But don’t take your eyes off it that quickly, because magnolia blossoms are no less beautiful than cherry blossoms. We put it on this list because its bright pink color is probably in your preference. Located right on the bustling youth street near Opera Garnier and Pyramide of the Louvre, this garden is separated from all the bustle of the main street. The Jardin des Palais Royal is the place to enjoy the most beautiful magnolia orchard in the city. The variety of colorful flowers and green lawns make this place exactly a spring paradise. You can admire it from mid-March.

Notre Dame
We didn’t want to put Notre Dame last because it used to be one of the most popular spots for cherry blossom lovers and for couples to do their elopement ceremony next to the cathedral. However, due to an unfortunate incident in 2019, the entire church estate is being closed for renovation. It’s a pity that the cherry blossom trees there can only quietly bloom and shine without being admired by us. But let’s hope that one day soon🤞, everything will be back and the most beloved cherry blossom spot will be welcomed again.
