Everything about these Swedish castle wedding photos makes it feel like a painting. Sweden has a gorgeous backdrop of scenery and not to mention getting married in a castle. It’s every little girl’s dream coming true. Our couple, F&P, chose to hold their wedding at one of Sweden’s charming castles called Tjolöholms slott. This isn’t the first time we have shot this couple. In fact, we had the lovely opportunity to shoot their civil marriage photos in Paris. They loved their images so much that they booked us to shoot their wedding in Sweden too. You can check out their pictures in Paris here.
Preparations for the Swedish Castle Wedding
The day started off with wedding preparations for the bride and groom. Each side with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, helping them get ready and popping champagne bottles to celebrate the soon-to-be union of two people meant to be.
This isn’t the first wedding we shoot outside France. We have many more in Cuba, USA, Singapore, Italy, & many more!
Wedding Castle Ceremony in a charming ancient church
The ceremony was a traditional Swedish one that took place in a small church where F&P were surrounded by their closest loved ones. The soft white minimalist flowers decorated every bench as the bride walked down the aisle towards the groom with piano music played by a family member.
Couple Portrait Photos
Before the start of the Reception, we ran off with the couple to get in some couple wedding portrait shots featuring the stunning Swedish castle and a vintage car which only added more charm and character to the photos. You can see for yourself!

Sunset Shoot with Scenic Views
Don’t be afraid to sneak off before the start of your wedding reception or during to get stunning sunset shots. When the sun is setting, it’s golden hour and this is the best time for photos. Just look how beautiful these turned out.

Cocktails & Tapas
Before the start of the Dinner Reception, the guests got to enjoy some drinks and finger foods on the outdoor terrace with sunny skies and pleasant weather.
Chic Boho Style Dinner Reception
The dinner reception had a lovely boho minimalist chic vibe, with every table decorated with candles, flowers, and wheat stalks. Tables dressed with white covers, and luxurious golden cutleries sat in front of each guest’s seat. As the dinner reception was near its start, all the guests patiently waited at their assigned seats as the bride and groom entered, led by a traditional band.
The evening carried on with family members giving their toast, playing songs on the guitar, and hanging polaroids on a string.
The bride changed into her evening dress for the Bride & Groom’s first dance, which was so lovely. Followed by all the family members joining in and dancing the rest of the night away.
Dinner & cake the reception was nothing short of Perfection.
What a wonderful way to end this day.
