If you thought getting married at a castle was only something that happened in movies or fairytales, then think again. We had the pleasure of accompanying Y&S on their wedding day to a historic Chateau called Barthélemy. This Chateau is only one hour away from Paris, a perfect destination for couples to get away from the city and enjoy a romantic and ethereal wedding.
The blush wedding palette has captured our hearts, subtly making it a statement accent. The rosiness is present in the bride’s bouquet, invitation cards, ring box, and shoes. A wedding party in white makes the rosiness pop. Blooming clouds of baby breath flowers, pink roses, and orchids are a dreamy feature for the wedding ceremonies alter.
Indeed, pink is a popular color due to its versatility when playing with the different shades and hues. A pink wedding amps up romance and femininity.
In addition, a tiny crystal chandelier dangles in the center of the alter where the bride and groom will soon join hands and their lives together forever.
A wedding at Chateau Barthélemy is prestigious and a take back to history. This Chateau built in 1764 and bought by Barthélemy family member Francois in 1829. Opened it’s doors to the public after undergoing a metamorphizes of renovation in 2016. The aim of the renovation was to preserve the heritage and charm of the castle while making it accessible to the crowd to be able to admire this work of art for the years to come.
The estate also has a large lake reflecting the Chateaus’ architecture and a garden that wraps around it. The groom and bride held their reception in this very same garden.
The bride and groom were on the same premise but in different locations. The bridesmaids in their pink robes help the beautiful bride prepare before the ceremony in the l’Orangerie. The bride rocked a modest yet chic wedding gown with a statement headpiece. The groom dressed up in the Chateau itself and slayed in a cadet grey color suit.
Wedding reception
After the sun had set in the evening, the reception took place in front of the Chateaus yard. The Greenery adds an organic touch against the white draped tabletops. There are so many types of centerpieces you can go with, depending on the vibe you want. For this couple, the theme is intimate but romantic. Candles placed on the table, and surrounding them are pillars with floral installations on top and around the table. Roses, orchids, hydrangea, and chrysanthemums kept the look minimal with a soft palette of blush and white.
Sparkling fairy lights and celestial-like wedding tents metamorphose that dreamlike Pinterest wedding mood board into reality.
The couple and guests danced the night away on the dance floor with a wedding band playing groovy music. Not to forget, the bride’s outfit change into something more sparkly and fitting. All our eyes were on her as she was twirled around the entire night.
It was a day full of love, laughter, good music, & fantasy vibes.
Thank you to this lovely couple who trusted us to capture these moments of their big day.
